Sorry for the lack of post last month. November and December are always the most hectic months for me and my family. Aside from being the peak season for our restaurant, I had to go on several trips abroad too and of course there's med school!
Any way, I want to greet everybody a Happy New Year!
Let me share a look which I wore on New Year's Eve! I did a classic holiday look. Neutral and gold eyeshadows (matte brown on the crease, shimmery golden taupe on the lid, and matte skintone eyeshadow as highlight) then I lined both my upper and lower rims with black pencil liner, then I created a cat eye with a liquid liner then finishing it with 2 coats of volumizing mascara. Another go to for the holiday season is red lips, so I went for it, anyway, my eye makeup is on the neutral color palette. To finish the look I just dusted a matte bronzer on the cheeks.
Products I used:
For the eyes:
• Urban Decay Primer Potion
• Make Up ForEver Eyeshadow #93
• Loreal Infallible Color Eyeshadow in Sahara Treasure
• Laura Mercier Vanilla Nuts Matte Eyeshadow
• Stila Smudgestick in Stingray
• Loreal Liquid Liner in Carbon Gloss
• Maybelline VolumExpress Colossal Mascara in Glam Black
For the cheeks:
• Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Powder #01
For the lips:
• Mentholatum Clear Lip Balm
• MAC Viva Glam I

***I just remembered, I used Stila Smudge Pot not Clinique Brush on Cream Liner...
*MAC Fluidline in Jadeye
*CG Lash Blast
*UD Heavy Metal Glitter Liner
I'm seriously loving the Urban Decay cream eyeshadows! I got a sample of the cream e/s together with the heavy metal liner the last time I bought a UDPP online. I love the cream shadows I hope I could get some soon since I just ran out of it. The staying power are great, upon 12 hours of wear it only creases minimally without UDPP. I also love how vibrant the colors are! I'm so in love with them! I've been wearing it for 4 consecutive days now! Plus, those UD Cream e/s are really nice bases! Go get 'em! I'm also loving the Heavy Metal Glitter Liner now :p

Rosy Gold Eyes

UDPP
MAC Pigment in Rose Gold (just apply as little as possible all over the lid to minimize the metallic finish)
Coffret D'or #1 Palette (use the rosy mauvey e/s for the crease)
MAC Pigment in Heritage Rouge (apply little as possible in the crease blending with the Coffret D'or e/s)
Smashbox in Smashing Snow (highlight)
Clinique Brush-On Cream Liner in True Black (Upper lash line and bottom waterline)
Covergirl Lash Blast
I'm beginning to like the CG LashBlast... see photos above for your opinions... I just discovered that it could give a dramatic effect similar to the Diorshow, but just to a certain degree, and it takes soo many coats to get the Diorshow effect... the good thing is that no matter how many coats you apply your lashes doesnt clump... and I like how easily I could I apply mascara to my bottom lashes but I find it hard applying to my outer lashes...and I find the grip or the cap of the mascara wand to be too fat that I'm quite having a hard time to control the mascara and to have a stable grip to it...its fairly easy to remove with soap and water...I'll probably buy this again if I'm broke like now LOLz to buy a new Diorshow mascara...but still my heart is with DiorShow....btw if partnered with the Shiseido mascara base you'll get fab lashes!!! but still Diorshow and Shiseido mascara base = perfect, nothing can beat this combo!
And while I was doing this I was watching Swordfish in HBO starring Hugh Jackman... and damn! Hugh Jackman looks so good in this movie!

Gold and Green Smokey Eyes + Eyeko Mascara Review
Earlier I just received an email from Eyeko welcoming me as an official Eyeko Ambassador... Then I just remembered that I received an Eyeko Mascara as a Christmas present, and what better time to try it out than today....The Eyeko mascara is quite good... It lengthens quite well and separates the lashes... It also doesn't clump...However it doesnt volumize as much as I want it to...so I'll just partner it with my Shiseido Mascara Base to achieve the desired volume... I'll probably repurchase, specially I just found out Eyeko ships for free even here in the Philippines...Plus they'll throw in a free gift...What more can I ask for?

UDPP
MAC Gorgeous Gold e/s
NARS Fuji e/s
Smashbox Smashing Snow e/s
Clinique Brush-On Cream Liner

Simple and Easy Day and Night Eyes

*UDPP
*MAC e/s in Ambience (Not sure about the exact name but it is the 2nd shadow of the 2nd column in the holiday 2008 smokey palette; Clinique e/s in Portabella is a good substitute) - apply all over the lid not passing the crease
*MAC e/s in Scant - apply in the tearducts and the crease to the browbone
*Clinique Brush-On Cream Liner in True Black - line the upper lashline
*NYX Jumbo Pencil in Purple - line the lower lash line
*Shiseido Mascara Base (Look at my lashes on my upper lids...Tell me what you think...)
*DiorShow Mascara - I've applied just a single coat of this mascara
Need your opinion about the DiorShow and Shiseido Mascara Base combination...

Smokey Eyes with ELF Smokey Eye Kit + Review

( I used UDPP for the base along with MAC Prep and Prime Eyes. I also used Shu Uemura Drawing Pencil in White under #1.. I didn't used mascara since I find that my lashes aren't in their best condition right now.)

(Here's what is inside the kit.)
I really liked the Eyeshadow quad since the colors are so pigmented.. love the #3 it's just so pretty and quite unique... However, the #1 is tad too powdery than the rest of the e/s...#2 reminds me of MAC's Black Tied.. They're really comparable, but this one has a bit of a metallic finish.. over all this is a good quad.. it also comes with a sponge applicator and a small mirror.. I'll definitely rebuy this quad by itself... 8/10.
The Eyeliner is kinda bad since it isn't soft and creamy at all...It's not pigmented too! This doesn't even stained my waterline...I'll probably just use this for my brows...2/10.
The duo mascara is really good..it separates, lengthens, and doesn't clump ever even with soo much coats...However, it doesn't volumize...It's also great that one end is a regular mascara while the opposite end is waterproof...I'll rebuy this mascara anytime!...8/10.
This eyelash curler didn't worked out for me, but I wouldn't say it's bad, since I've really tried tons of curlers that are a hundred times worse...It didn't pinched my eyes at all but it just didn't fit my eyes, so it couldn't curl the base of my lashes...Won't rebuy...5/10.
Smudger...hmm...nothing special just your regular sponge smudger...It is my first sponge smudger that didn't came along with an eyeliner...I might rebuy...6.5/10.
