Nail Polish Swatches and Review: Tony Moly

Tony Moly is a Korean brand that arrived in the Philippines few months back.
I, being super busy, just found out about it a couple of weeks ago. I know right?! I'm super late!

I've been loving their lipsticks, lip tints, and loose setting powders!

But another product I'm loving is their nail polishes!
Their nail polishes cost from 99 pesos to 350 pesos, depending on the type of nail polish.
I think they have 4 types: the ones with the black cap, the ones with white cap, the ones with silver caps, and their snake (crackle) nail polishes.
The ones with black cap are the cheapest and the ones with silver cap are the most expensive.

But you know what?
I find the quality of all the nail polishes to be equally good.
It just that the shades from the more expensive range are more unique and glitter-tastic!

But my favorites are from their cheapest range, so far.

Most of the shades have really nice formulas at par with OPI and China Glaze, but some, like those in their pastel collection, are a bit streaky and chalky, but it's normal since most pastels are really streaky and/or chalky.
Normally, these nail polishes will give me atleast 3 days prior showing any tip wear, so that's good! Though, I noticed the glittery ones show wear quicker than other shades. Unlike some high end brands I know that would show tip wear in 1 day (ahem.. Chanel) and even chips in a day (ahem.. NARS).

But please note that I always use basecoat (OPI Nail Envy as of the moment) and topcoat (Seche Vite).

The only thing, I don't like about these are the brushes! A few have decent brushes, but most of them have frayed brushes! The brushes are thick but not thick enough to work, like with the OPI Prowide brush. I just hope if they wanted to make it thick then add more bristles, but if they wanted to make it slim like those in China Glaze, Orly, or Essie then they should shed a few bristles. I even trimmed a couple of bristles in some of the nail polishes to make them work!

I can't tell you as too how long these nail polishes last without chipping, since I regularly change nail colors 2 to 3 times a week, sometimes even everyday!
I totally agree that nail polish is the new lipstick!
And you know what? I can do my nails now for just 5 minutes max, with basecoat, topcoat, and trimming and shaping my nails! How cool is that right?!

Enough with the blabbing and here are the swatches!

Nail Polish Swatches: Chanel and Deborah Lippman

Here are some swatches of the latest additions to my
exponentially growing nail polish collection!

I've had these for awhile now, but I didn't have any chance to show my new babies to guys, so here they are!

(L to R) Deborah Lippmann Boom Boom Pow in 2 coats and Bad Romance in 3 coats.
Both without basecoat and topcoat.

Top: Chanel Paradoxal in 2 coats
Bottom: Chanel Particuliere in 2 coats
Both without basecoat and topcoat.

PS. Please forgive me for the pictures aren't the best. I'm still learning how to photograph nail polish properly. Photographing nail polishes is a more difficult for me since I still can't figure out how to may colors in the photos look exactly the same as in real life. I'm still trying to figure out to make the shimmer and glitters stand out too. So please bear with me.

Stress...

If you see me one of these days, you'll probably think that I look like one of these guys...
hahaha...

I've been super stressed due to exams after exams...
Frankly, I've been having a hard time handling stress fro the past few weeks.
As I am writing this, I still have a lot of things to study (i.e. Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Surgery, and Internal Medicine), but I can't handle it anymore, so I am taking a break for a couple of minutes to breathe and take my mind off studying to recharge my neurons...

How about you guys?
Are the things that gives you stress?
How to you handling stress?
How do you relieve your stress?

Hope you can share :)

By the ways, my NIVEA giveaway is still open!

Mystery Product Revealed! + GIVEAWAY!

Remember my last post about the mystery product I'm loving right now?
All of guesses are correct! It is indeed a new product from NIVEA!

Last month, NIVEA unveils the new "EXPRESS HYDRATION BODY LOTION"

Product Description:
"The new ultra-light body lotion with sea minerals contains the innovative Hydra IQ active ingredient that has been developed specifically for the needs of normal to dry skin. It keeps the skin soft and supple, envelops it in the subtle scent of blue lotus and leaves a refreshed feeling.

The one-of-a-kind formula with Hydra IQ makes body care a long-lasting intense experience. It provides a non-stop supply of moisture to the skin – longer than ever before. This is based on the worldwide exclusive Nobel Prize technology, which promotes optimum moisture supply and distribution from within – for over 24 hours. NIVEA Express Hydration Body Lotion is not only effective for an extra-long time, but is also absorbed by the skin extraordinarily quickly and thus helps repair the eight signs of dry skin: dry, redness, rough, tight, flaky, dull, itchy and peeling.

NIVEA Express Hydration Body Lotion has been developed with dermatologists and skin compatibility is clinically and dermatologically proven."

Now, why do I love this product?

Who among you guys want to have soft, moisturized, and supple skin, but hate hate hate to the core the sticky and greasy feel most body lotions give, especially its warm and you sweat? Who hates thick products that just sit on your skin, never really get absorbed in your skin, but you endured the icky feeling just to have moisturized skin and still when the product gets rubbed off you realized once the product is off the moisturizing effect is gone too?

Come on, raise your hand and don't be shy to admit you're one of those people, because I, myself, am one of them! I really have extremely dry skin (well except my face which is oily!), and sometimes my skin would itch and flake due to severe dryness. But I rarely would put on lotion, because one thing I hate more than dry, itchy, and flaky skin is thick, greasy, and sticky feeling most body lotions give.

I am so thankful to NIVEA for allowing me to test out this product! Now dry skin is a thing of the past, as well as those icky, thick, greasy, and sticky lotions!

The new NIVEA EXPRESS HYDRATION BODY LOTION is so moisturizing that my skin doesn't flake anymore and it feels so soft and supple! However, unlike other lotions, this new product from NIVEA doesn't feel thick, greasy, nor sticky! This new offering from NIVEA is so lightweight it absorbs in the skin within JUST A FEW SECONDS upon application! Plus, no greasy and slippery feel even when you sweat!

I really love this product that I gave my friend a bottle to try it out, and he's also loving it and has been raving about it! Mind you, my friend is a male, now that says alot, don't you think?

NIVEA been generous enough to give me more to share with you guys!
